I have always loved Christmas. I am sad when I hear people say, “Oh it’s just all commercial.” Christmas, or the holiday you celebrate, is what you make it.
From baking, to decorating, to socializing and gift giving, our traditions have always centered on family, friends, and our spiritual beliefs. It is a time to focus on love for others. Gifts are very thoughtfully chosen or hand created.
When I was 16 years old, my father presented me with a watercolor painting of the Oregon coast. He and I loved to explore the small caves along the coast, and my memories with him are some of my favorites. The painting hangs in my home today, and I cherish it.
